
Annette O'Toole was raised in Houston the state of Texas. She attended her dance studio run by her mother. at the age of two, she made her first appearance on television, as a child on the Don Mahoney Kids Trooper Show. Her mother and she, who had ten years worth of singing and dancing lessons under her belt, went to Los Angeles for an entire year at the age of 13 to see if she would be capable of making a living on the showbiz. She got her first job as a professional dancer in just two months: Danny Kaye's show The Danny Kaye Show. She has utilized her dancing and singing talents in numerous ways. "The discipline you get from these classes is a huge benefit for an actor." The first time she acted was My Three Sons, followed with appearances on Gunsmoke, The Partridge Family, The Mod Squad, and Hawaii Five-O. O'Toole's greatest love, despite her film and television success, is theatre. After a six-year run on Smallville She decided to focus on theater as she was doing for the past decade. She made the trip to New York and her first audition resulted in her being included in The Sea Gull. She's appeared in a variety of Off-Broadway productions. Among them are Adam Rapp's Kindness, Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska as well as Tennessee Williams' A Lovely Sunday for Creve Couer.
