Luciana Paluzzi
Actress Luciana Paluzzi was one of many voluptuous Italian brunettes who were destined for fame on the international stage following the death of Gina Lollobrigida. After making appearances on both coasts of the Atlantic during the 1950s, in films such as Three Coins in the Fountain, (1954), and Sea Fury, (1958), Luciana Paluzzi made her debut on American TV fame in the role as Simone Genet in the spy weekly Five Fingers in 1959. In 1965 she was approached by the Bond producers for consideration as Domino Derval, who was the principal female character of Thunderball. Terence Young gave her Fiona Volpe as a model, and she is one of a few women who can hold off Mr. Bond's enticements. Fiona which, as a form of punishment for her fatal wounds by the floor of the club by Bond's companions.
